a quick visit to the grove and farmers market in los angeles

one of my daughters is a 'fangirl' - now if you look up the word 'fangirl' in the urban dictionary this is what you will find... "a rabid breed of human female who is obesessed with either a fictional character or an actor." my daughter - like most teen girls - loves One Direction, 5SOS, and other people on vine, twitter, etc. it can be a bit obsessive sometimes, but most of the time, it's harmless fun. i remember being a big fan of Scott Baio and Depeche Mode when I was a teen.  ha!  times are different...i know...we didn't have constant contact with our crushes.

well, she found out that 5SOS was in L.A., so she wanted to go hang out by their hotel to see them. since she had a day off from school, i said ok, and we headed to hollywood.

a friend of hers is also a huge fan of this band, so she came along with us.  we had done this before when they came to town, so we headed straight for their hotel and i dropped them off.  about 30 minutes later, they called and said that the guys were already gone to arizona!  oh well.  no sightings this time.

off to the grove and l.a. farmers market we went.  it's only about 5 minutes from the hotel.  so, it wasn't a complete waste of time to go down there.

the grove is an outdoor shopping center here in l.a.  lots of stores, restaurants, a movie theater and it's adjacent to the famous l.a. farmers market. if you look at their calendar online, they have some fun things planned, especially during the holidays.

at the grove, you will find some great shopping - like american girl place, barnes & noble, crate & barrel, gap, michael kors and soo many more.  there's a free trolley that travels through the grove.

i found this photo on wikipedia

i love the l.a. farmers market!  lots of yummy food booths to choose from - like pizza, bbq, sushi, coffee & doughnuts, crepes, gumbo...for a complete list, go to their website.  it's amazing how many different choices you may have.  and, of course, you can buy produce!

love seeing it all decorated for the holidays

you may see some movie or t.v. stars while you here.  they film enews here and a lot of stars come here to shop and eat.
all in all, it was a fun time and this is a great place to visit.
