well, it's been awhile since i've done a post here and i was just reading my previous post all about working out.  guess what?  i've fallen off of the exercise wagon and i've gained 5 lbs. since august.  i feel like middle age is bringing the weight on at record speed.

so, yesterday i began the Dr. Oz 2-week rapid weight loss plan.  after watching it on his show back in january, i thought it was something that i could do.  most people seem to lose 10 lbs. in the 2 weeks.  so, i'm hoping for that.

it is not a very well written out diet plan for me, so i may have trouble. i'm one for specific recipes, lists, what time to eat, what time to exercise, etc.   but, i figure that i can do anything for 2 weeks.

basically, it gives you a list of food types to skip (such as dairy, wheat, etc) and a list of what you can eat (1/2 cup brown rice, lots of different types of veggies, etc).  there are no specific recipes  (except for a breakfast smoothie and vegetable broth) or schedule, so i'm going to try to do this on my own.

no coffee in the morning is killing me....because the plan also calls for no caffeine.

i don't want this blog to become about diet & exercise only, but being a forty-something stay at home mom this is a topic that i think about so often.  my body is changing and i need to find that way back to a healthy life style.

so, i'm going to try to check in here often as a way to track my progress.  i'm off to make my breakfast smoothie.

this is my fresh look.
